I bought an 03 eclipse in february and was wondering if it was susposed to come with some sort of remote? and if so - where do i get it ?also is it a bad idea to make a copy of the key? i only hav ethe one. i know i probably wont be able to start the car with it, but i may lock it in on accident - i could at least open the door with it right? but will this screw up the original because of the chip inside?

i got my eclipse with out a remote also... i was wondering about that too...
the car has a sticker on the driver windo saying it has an alarm system and all, but i didnt
have the remote, and the car never made a sound... so i dont think all of them do
i put in a viper alarm system into mine, its the ****, i love it
well anyways i dont think all the eclipse comes with keyless entry as a standard feature

WHAT MODEL OF VIPER DID YOU GET? MAY BE INTERESTED IN THAT. WHAT ARE THE FEEATURES?

The good thing about 3gs is that the as long as the key is in the ignition you can not lovk doors after you open them to get off. I would assume that the car came with remote locks as long as you have power locks pretty standerd.
