after sitting in an 07 eclipse at NAIAS 'm pretty much sold on it, just a few questions....

1. from my understanding it does low 14's in the 1/4.... is that accurate
2. how is the handling in the twisties ( not necissarily the twisties, just all around suspension/steering)
3. how's the ride?
4. and last but not least, my goal is to at least hit low 13's with it.... I need a list of what part would be needed for low 13's
5. is the compression ratio safe to run boost in this engine?
6. do they make any decent turbo kits for it?

1. Yes
2. Good handling, torque steer under hard accelerate but cotrollable.
3. Ride is good, way better than 350Z
4. You can hit mid to upper 13's with CAI, CAT back, and better tires.
5. Not sure about boost, probably more important is the strength of the componants not the compression.
6. Ripp MODs is making two superchargers, stage I and II.  The stage II will make 370BHP.

yeah I was looking at those ripp vortechs... they claim at the wheels... and that would be stomping LS1's right there... I always thought (at least on paper) that the new eclpise (stock for stock) SHOULD be able to make a drivers race with the 99-04 mustang GT's but everyone I talk to say the GT will stomp it....

but you know, everyone I talk to glorifies domestic and I can't really get a straight answer
