Im going to be in the market for a new/ used car in the next year or so. Well I have it down to three.
Nissan 350Z Convertable
Honda S2000 Convertable
06 Eclipse Spyder Convertable
The Eclpise would be the new one cuz that would be the only one I can offord new :). But I was just wondering when or if they are actually going to make the spyder for the new model? I looked on the net for pics and what not but got nothing...

ok well lets see, I can garentee if you cant afford a new s2000 then a eclipse spyder will be to much. I have the origanal window sticker for my GT 2002 spyder and it sold for $29k back then the GT coupes were prices at $22k-$25K the GT coupe is now $26-$28k so add the extra cost of a spyder and the insurence and it will cost you ALOT of money not to mention the 4G eclipse already weights 3500lbs and the 3G spyder i think was 4100LBS so figure a convertible to weight 4300lbs or so. Honestly the honda is the cheapest one on your list and im sure handles corners better than the eclipse since they have been known for bad handleing
Plus im not sure if they are done with the spyder, if not it may take a few years. llok at the 3Gs the came out in 00 and didnt get the spyder released untill 01 so it may work that way again.

Ok first off, I can offord any of them cars. The question wasnt even about price. I simply asked about the spyder eclipse and all of the sudden you know me. OK

my opinion choose what you like i think the 350Z is the best look of the 3 and you will be getting a little more hp than the eclipse.

he didn't say whether he was getting the 4cyl or v6 eclipse, but im going to assume that hes getting the v6. the v6 and 350z have about the same HP.

depeneds on modle it ranges from 280-300HP with 350z about 15-35hp differance.

Chill dude you said you can afford the eclipse new, so I assumed you thought it was going to be cheaper. just putting it in prospective that the spyder wont be any cheaper than any of those cars if it comes out. and to add the fact that it weight a hell of a lot more so if your buying for a "speed" reason then forget the eclipse. That is all I was trying to say.
now if I was to make a choice id take the 350Z over any of them. more power and TQ than the honda and alot less weight then a eclipse plus FWD sucks. Each car will have there strong points. the Honda and 350z are more of a atuoX car that can corner well. the 350z and eclipse are more of the quick car to toy around with on the streets. the eclipse will prob. be FWD and heavy. In the end I say the z is the way to go, or why not even look at teh solstice, I think those cars are badass looking and a relitivly light weight but not to powerfull and they are $10K less and brand new

Sorry dude I was just a lil heated cuz all I wanted was info! But yeah No matter what car I get it is going to he a convertable! thats why I said The spyder. Plus it has 4 seats.

It has 4 seats HA, I have a 99 Spyder and yeah it does have 4 seats but the 2 in the back are tiny, Child Seats, try to put 2 adults back there, Yeah right!! You basically have 2 front seats and a rear Shelf. HAHA

yes I had a 02 spyder and forget it if you had 2 adults in the back in made the ride for all very uncomfy, and I did see a few pics of the idea of a2007 Spyder but it looked as if it were a 2 seater in the pics, which to me might mean even smaller seats back there. I stil say go for the 350z it is a better car the the Eclipse (sorry eclipse owners)

OT here but anko_kun You need to add something to your sig.... Boost=Power is not 100% true....... but Boost+Tune=Power is more like it
you cant just add boost and take the gain when you add some tuning for the boost then youll get some bigger power gains
