ok...here goes...one of the things ive been battling for awhile now is the drive belt (runs on AC and powersteering)...i installed a new one and it ran fine for about 600 miles...all of a sudden it started making a chirping noise which in 2 days developed into a loud ringing/squealing on acceleration...i tightend the belt and guess what it got louder...so i have loosened the belt to a point where i didnt think it would even stay on the pulleys...but it stays on...unfortunately now when i try to use my air conditioning, an unearthly squeal resounds from my car...very embarrassing...so im gettin used to the windows being down...and the other trouble of my life...my car will die as soon as i start it up if i dont rev it right after it cranks...then it will idle fine...but when i come to the end of my street and come to a stop at the corner, the car will shake like it's about to stall...and if dont give it some gas then it does just stall out...i think it may be the fuel injector...so i dumped some GumOut into it about a month ago...but that didnt help much...so now im starting to think that it may be the pump or something even worse...i need a diagnosis...because i dont want to spend my tax returns at a shop trying to figure this out...any tips on what these two things may be...and if i can fix it on my own are well appreciated....thanks
also car is manual with 126k on it
thanks a lot guys you are really helping me out...what is it do you not like to read?
Hey rucujo 1st time seeing this the drive belt should have a timing mark on it if not see the cars manual for the correct tension also reving your engine at start up is not good at that point there is no oil pressure built up and can damage the engine bearings etc. Sounds like your car needs a tune up from not starting has nothing to do with the fuel injectors just not getting the fuel that it needs when the engine is cold (rich mixture) Best way to get these things fix is by a machanic.
