Looking at picking up a 94 lazer with an ATX, but I dont enjoy driving atx trannies. I'm curios if their are any kits out their for converting to mtx, or what all is gonna be required to do it? Anybody know of any guides out thier, or pages that show how other people have aproached this task?

I ran into on the site a few people that did AWD conversions, but I couldn't find anything on just a regular old auto tranny to manual tranny swap keeping the fwd.

Though I do so enjoy getting flamed for not using the search bar I would like to let you know that I have. If you do a full search of for "manual transmission swap" nothing of use comes up. I do a search of just "manual" and I managed to come up with only one page with anything pertaining to the kind of information I am searching for.
http://www.mitsubishiforum.com/m_73401/tm.htm And of course the first reply he got thier was also you flaming him for not searching first. I have searched and nothing comes up. He seems like he figured it out, though he never finished his post thier so I would no or not. My question is can it be done? Is it that hard? In most cars its not very difficult to swap an auto out for a manual, though I dont know much about this drivetrain. So I have come to you experts for any pertanent information that you could give. So if thier is any info, guides, or posts here of people that have done it could you please link it to me.
Thank you.

Ok how about I refine my question a little more. Is the swap going to be any more than going to a junkyard picking up a trannie, trannie mounts, clutch pedal, shifter box and linkage, the cable to run to the trannie from the shifter, and then hitting up ebay for a flywheel and clutch kit? Or am I gonna also need to pick up axels, and a whole lot of other stuff? Trying to know what I would be getting myself into before I start tearing apart. Any actual input would be helpful.
Thank you.

No axel needed... everything listed before that.. you will need. Dont get **** from ebay.
If you even have to ask... then you dont know what your doing. If you want to attempt it... go for it.

Ignore sebba, its his time of the month.
On a DSM, an auto to manual swap is easier than people think.
Many of the bolt hole are already there.
You will need a few parts, quite a few, hell... alot.
But it can be done in a weekend if you know what you're doing.
Going the junkyard route maye prove to be the cheapest.
Just be absolutely certain you're getting the right trans/clutch/ slave cylinder, etc for your motor.
