It'd be nice but I dunno about the whole heating and cooling... From what I gather the steam pushes the pistons back down right? Water doesn't compress too well... I see this going badly from the start... If the valve lets go and sprays water in there in too great an amount... New engine time.

ya, but how often does an injector over spray?

It all depends I mean think about it. How much crap can get into water? Fine filter it BUT now think about this: What is water's natural effect on metals? Not saying they won't think of a way to fix THAT little problem but still...

at first I though the same thing, but what about water sprayers? My friend runs a mix of meth and windsheild washer fluid in his truck to lower the egt's and raise the octain. The idea behind this motor is to lower its operating temp so their is no need for a cooling system and to increase the gas milage by adding two more strokes to the cycle.

I understand that but also remember water is water. The plan is to use steam to push the piston down to add the extra strokes. Either way your putting water in the cylinders...

water meth and alky are popular to spray in to cool EGTs down. and when doing that they say it is equal to running 116 octane fuel on 93 pump. I have seen so many HIGH hp cars with them and not breaking down from it.

All I can think is something like that will make tuners go nuts because that will be harder to tune.

ya it would, the artical saidthat it would mostly be used for semi trucks and commercial use, but I could see a company like volov or vw using it... seeing how they dont have a hybrid technology yet.

Speaking of germans anyone see the new car thats going to be comming out in 09, 900 pounds, 3cyl turbo desil?

Loremo AG set to debut 2+2 coupe that gets over 150 MPG

German-based Loremo AG is set to debut a 2+2 coupe at the Geneva Auto Show that gets a whopping 157 MPG.

The $13,000 Loremo LS weighs just 992 lbs and features a two cylinder turbo-diesel engine pumping out a hardly earth shattering 20HP. The mid-engine, RWD coupe gets roughly 157 miles per gallon and has a cruising range of 807 miles. It goes 0-60 in 20 seconds and has a top speed of 99 MPH.

A more powerful $17,800 Leromo GT will also be available. It weighs in slightly more at 1,036 lbs and features a 3 cylinder turbo-diesel with 50 HP. It gets 87 miles per gallon, has a cruising range of 497 miles, goes 0-60 in 9 seconds and tops out at 137 MPH.

Both will come standard with airbags, radio and particle filter. Options will include a dashboard computer, A/C, MP3 player, navigation system, and leather.

The only down side I see to it is the rims and the fact that if you git hit by a civic... you will die.
