420 mod quetions

i just recently bought a 97 gs with star turbo kit. i am wanting to rebuild for more power and more boost. i am planning for install of eagle rods, wiseco pistons, crower cams, etc. my question is if i do all these mods is my crank going to handle it? should i go ahead and swap or will the stock crank be ok. i dont know how durable the stock cranks are known to be. if you have any info on these mods or suggestions as to what i should mod i would greatly appreciate it. thanx

im pretty sure that the stock crank is fine. And the mods sound pretty good to me for internals. You might need a better fuel system if you plan on running more boost. Not sure what comes with the star kit though. Also what are you currently using to tune

he hasnt posted here in a while. And he never had a 420aT, he kinda stopped comming here when he sold his eclipse

nobody that ive heard of...slow420 was the only other person that i could think of and he doesnt even have one so that leaves this guy...so far anyways lol

Right? Its a movie secret lol... Id imagine it was just easier to get a ****load of 420a Eclipses to blow up than it was to get a bunch of 4g63s...

thank God lol b/c it really would have been a shame for them to waste 4g63's like that lol i mean it sucked watching that eclipse blow up but atleast now that i know its just a 420 then it doesnt quite hurt my feelings as bad lol...

Yup yup. The Supras motor that they show thru the semi-see thru hood is actually just a printed out PICTURE of a motor. The real motor was a POS

no joke...really lol well you know the first one was a really low budget movie haha i dont think anyone expected it blow up as big as it has the last one that came out was pretty much the best so far...although the evo and 3g eclipse in the second one was pretty badass too lol...

Eh... I wasnt a big fan of the 2nd or 3rd. As much as I like Mitsus, the 2nd one was just like an hour and a half commercial for 2 cars that werent all that wonderful to start with (compared to their predecessors) and the 3rd one was really scraping the bottom of the barrel, something like trying to convert video games to movies...  But thats just MO.

i actually thought that the 3rd was the only decent one. The others were terrible acting, and the writers knew nothing about cars. The third one had a much better plot too it as well

The third ones story (everything about it) just seems SO unlikely to me... even the first one seemed a little more plausable.

yeah, before the first race on the first f & f, they opened up the dude's hood and it had a 420a in it... i was surprised, but it made sense haha

Im trying to think if I even saw a turbo setup in the 420a... anyone remember? Wow... this has got WAY off topic...

supposedly it had a t4 turbo. but it is hard to see if there was any turbo, the angle sucks.

Judging by what my 2G does and what that one does (mines got a t3/t4) Im gonna go out on a limb and say it was some more crazy BS.

    yea, they are most likely full of it. As long as most people believe their cars are sick, they dont need to pay for the actual parts.
