why oh why would you EVER want to go from AWD to FWD. This has to be the strangest thing ive ever heard. Its probably possible. I know people have done work to convert from AWD to RWD. But NEVER FWD. It just seems stupid to me

couldn't you take out the drive shaft and put a cap on either the transfer case and the rear diff?

it's not exactly that simple but yes, something along those lines would probaby work. i'm definatly in agreeance with TheEngineer here. why in the world would you want to make AWD, FWD????? now RWD.... sure but there is no point or reason in making it fwd.

i can see making it fwd to save gas... remember that guy i was thinking of buyin that engine from for a ridiculous amount of money? well he took his driveshaft off while he was just doin daily driving and used those "caps" that i had mentioned. But when he went to the track he'd jack it up and put it back on... kinda weird, but w/e

if you are looking for fuel effeciency and not power than you shouldn't own a GSX anyways.. it's the heaviest of the eclipses.

This has got to be a joke? Why?
Just for giggles, I'll answer the question. You'll need to remove the drive shaft completely. While you're at it, remove the transfer case since it's not needed anymore. Remove the rear diff and axles. Put a viscous coupler in the tranny. Box up everything that's been removed and send it to me.
