Is it possible to bolt an Evo's 6 speed trannsmission into a dsm since they both run a variation of the 4g63?

Maybe... maybe.
I think it would require some custom work to the tranny mounts, shift cable routing, etc.
Damn.
Thats a good question.

It is, sounds to myself pretty logical, but though i dunno how different is one 4g63 to the other

Yeah I haven't read anything on it one way or another but a 6 speed would be so nice.

Indeed it would. However, i dont think it will line up. Not to mention, if it was possible then im sure many people would have done it.

True because correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Evo's engine opposite a DSM's?

i think so, i was just gonna ask that, i think the 4g63 in the evo's on the left side, as a dsm's on the right

wouldnt work and not really a great idea anyway, its cheaper and a lot easier to buy a nice modded tranny from TRE or some other dsm tranny company. 6 speed is pointless unless you spend most of your time on the freeway and its not as strong. Thats why the evo went back to the stronger 5 speed.
