Having a problem with my tranny on a 91 eclipse. There seems to be no 4th gear as the rpm just winds up when it attempts to shift.
The lower three gears are fine. Everything seems fine with the OD switch. Could it possibly be the TCU or is it the tranny itself? Nice to know if anyone else has every seen this problem.

do a search. this has been discussed many times.
you have a failed end clutch assembly.
