i bought a 92 eclipse gs about a month ago and for a week or 2 the clucth has been grindin a lil bit. when i put i into first gear i grinds a lil unless i align it with second gear and move it up to first and sometimes when i shift up from second to first i will make a small grind. i am curious, i have a hydraulic clutch, does it need to be adjusted or maybe does it need to be bled. would these be reasons for it doing that?

id say bleed the clutch if that dont work sounds like the syncros in the tranny are going bad.

go to a few tranny shops and have them bid it.

Yeah definately not the clutch. If the clutch were the problem then the gears likely just wouldn't catch at all. Definately the synchros.

The only reason i suggest just try and bleeding the clutch is becaus i have seen a few cars that have an air pocket in them that will grind while going in because the clutch is only for ex. 3/4 of the way disengaged. It most likely is syncros but you dont want to have them put in and have the problem come out as you just needed to bleed the clutch.
