Huge problem. Change the rear brake calipers but not the mount and there is about .007-.010 play in the bushings and caliper. This created a huge problem with the caliper knocking around while driving at slower speed. It will also create a lock up condition if it cocks enough.
I contacted Cardone the manufacturer of the caliper and they say that the spec is correct. .007 is the worst case but within spec.
I think as an engineer that this would be wrong especially for something that critical. more like .002 max.

Any help would be awsome.

i am not certain what your issue is...the caliper is moving on the mount, or the moving part of the caliper has too much play in it?

The bore in the caliper is larger than the bushing causing a lateral wobble and knocking when the rotor rotates.
the caliper comes in 2 parts the mount and the caliper I replaced the caliper and it was to be OEM spec but it was not, because the Original that I took off due to locking up did not have play between the bushing and the bore.

Return the caliper and buy a better quality one.

Who is going to give me the extra money for that and lend me a car while I return it and wait for the new one to show up?
I contacted the manufacturer and they sent an in spec caliper that now works awsome.
Going to the source does wonders

Yeah you should always go to the source a customer source guy isn't gonna know shyt about cars and why they do what they do. Cordone is one of the companies that I don't care to deal with (I worked at a shop and we got thier parts all the time).
