some of you guys might know this but my car knocks at idle speed but when i rev it up it quits the knocking.

mine does the same thing and i'm not worried about it, so you shouldn't be either, unless you're anal about your car and want it to be perfect

There is an oil additive you can add to help soften them. However, it takes about 200+ miles to take effect.
 
Is this a GST or GSX?

Just to get back on topic lol.  I added some oil detergent (i think thats what its called) that i bought at autozone when i had really bad lifter tick.  Like sebba said it took about 200 miles but the noise is now almost completely gone.
