ive got a 96 spyder gst, and i need to put a new engine in it, one of my friends has a 4g63 from an 03 eclipse and he said he would sell it to me for a decent price, and i was tryin to find out if it would fit in my can and would it be worth it? any help here would be great

No because they are NOT 4G63's. The only 4G63T produced after 99 is for an EVO and those won't fit because of the rotated position. This guy is not very knowledgeable for you to get any deals from.
Look around for a 6bolt and find a local DSM'er to help you put it in. You will be better off with the older 6bolt. (90-mid92).
