I have an evo 8 with a ecu reflash, full 3inch exhaust, exhaust header, cold air intake, 22 pounds of boost, and a S-AFC. What would be a ballpark estimate on hp?

under 300.... maybe 280 or so. The SAFC is worthless if you have a flash, or atleast if you got the flash after the other mods. Is the SAFC even tuned? who tuned it. do you have a wideband?

evo8 come stock with 275 with all that you should have around 325

Dude stock Evos are 275 BHP which dwindles down to like 230WHP on a dyno so, in reality NO he will not make 325HP unless you consider it to the crank

Wow mike this newbie south side kinda seems like those poser kids who think they know everything about anything . I'm a newbie and learing cause i ask questions , not make dumb remarks or ask really dumb questions. I've worked on my 99 eclipse gst and know about them , but this evo is a whole different monster , but I'm learning as i take the car apart little by little and putting it back together. oh well

Lose the s-afc for now. With the proper tune you can get 300 to the wheels. By proper i mean, Zeitronix wideband and Evoscan road tune. It's going to be hard to find someone to do it if you can't do it yourself, but if you live in New England i can refer you to someone. People are bringing him their evo's that have been professionaly dyno tuned, and he has pulled up to 50 extra horse out of the car! It's can and is being done.

ya theres swiftmotorsports in norwich, CT and dyno flash in stamford , CT also dent sport garage in mass. from what i've heard all these people do good shops just pricing is alittle different.

Dynoflash does not have the best of reps. the others have been pretty good though

Depending on the mods with the tune it can be done. and if your talking VIII or IX. 300WHP is possible with some bolt ons with a VIII. the IX it is much much easier

Ya i've heard some not so good things about dyno flash besides what you said mike. So far its swift motor sports or Dent is what i'm looking at. I talked to some people who tuned at dyno flash and the guy is kinda a prick. So i said no way.

i know a little about the evo8 i just havent had a chance to dyno my car stock, ive asked people and they told me 275, i figure it was wrong but then again its my first turbo 4cyl, but now i know the horse power. and its kind of funny how this kid is calling me a poser, i have the evo and hes talking about the evo when he has a gst. im just here to learn more and tell poeple what ive heard about the car. give me a week ill post my pic.

he has an Evo, he had a GSt. Regaurdless. your car is now stock? the last thread I just read you have a wastgate and AMS FMIC, then all of a sudden a 35r and cams waiting and an AEM. now your stock again
