both are just as good... K&N, AEM, Injen are all good brands and your not gonna see much of a difference performance wise between them

Use the K&N filter, keep your stock pipe for now.

why. The hard piping will look so much better and have alittle better flow. Sure the difference is almost negligable between the two, but the intake pipe looks alot better.

Oh, you guys believe in form over function? I was there once. No i'm a budget tuner now. A $200 pipe for .5 bhp. I'll go with just a filter thanks.

Look with your evo i agree because it is actually bad to change out the stock piping, however on something like lancer the pipe is not gonna cost 200 and its not like the lancer already has a bunch of nice stuff to make the engine bay look good. Its up to the buyer what they like, and i agree with you about the price though because all i have in my mr2 is a filter. But when it comes to a NA car, its nice to have a CAI

That is understandable.   However you can just as easily pay like $25 and make your own intake and use a nice filter.  Form with the same function and also on a buget.   If your talented enough and take your time youll make something look real

My old turbo but a home made intake pipe with recirc and all.  and guess what it is still on the car with the 50trim turbo too lol (It is not going to stay blue though)

Clearly your opinion and i respect that.
You wouldn't believe how many people have thanked me for saving them major cash when it comes to the intake mod.
I bet no one here would be able to tell the difference in power between the 2 same exact cars, one with a cai, and one with stock piping and open filter.

well if you thinking Forced induction, other than N2o you might want to save your dollars and not even bother because it will be worthless later

yeah i was planning on putting a turbo kit on it but thats way later down the road... i wanna do internals first so i dont really mind spending the money on an intake... it needs it... right now part of the air box is missing and the filter is held on by tie wraps
