it will allow you to rev up quicker, when your in neutral. not to mention it will drop your highway gas milage, its not really the best first mod to get on your car if your looking for performance

it also is harder to pull out needs to rev higher due to less rotating mass.

is it safe to say it could hurt my top speed? im not big into racing people. i just like to go fast.

its not gonna hurt your top speed, but you will have to stay on the gas to stay at whatever speed you are at, the flywheel is meant to keep the momentum of your engine up, so your engine keeps spinning without you being on the gas. this helps your highway gas mileage a bunch. putting a lightweight flywheel on your car is hardly going to gain anything

Not only will it rev up faster, but the revs will back down faster too. Thats what hes trying to say.

Typically you gain like 5hp from it. This is because your reducing the rotational mass, allowing more power to get to the wheels.

It only really becomes effective when you get higher in the mods. For example if you have a 500hp setup, the increace in hp with the light flywheel is going to be a hell of a lot more than it would be on a stock setup.

I would only do it if you are changing your clutch, otherwise its a little pointless. Its going to be expensive to put on too, because you have to remove the transmission to get it on... its just a lot of man hours.

you think it's worth getting one? or should i just buy a used stock one and get it resurfaced? my tranny obviously already off the motor, and i'm gonna be running either a bige316g or a 20g
