idk if im against everyone here or not.... but i think abortion is fine. there are rules with it as it is.. dont change it. ppl get pregnant unwantingly and dont want kids sometimes.. what about rape senarios? if a girl is raped, why would she want that child? also, there is rules to when it must be done, i think its like second or third month, you cant wait till like month 8 and say i want an abortion..... sorry to say, but i think abortions should stay leagal...

But, I think there is nothing wrong with it.
1,000's are born everyday, and 1,000s die.

Im not gonna comment directly hahaha but yeah josh you opened up pandora's box, its has its extreme bad side and its good side, personally im really against it, and not for the reasons that hatchetman stated above, but the fairly simple reason that it will undecimately condonde one way or another promiscuity to a degree where no care is taken, i aslo understand the situation of each person, but in some cases, adoption would seem to be a failry good option, these are just my 2 cents and everyone has theyr own way on seeing things.

Theres over 10,000 children waiting to be adopted in the country (worldwide, the numbers are astoundingly disturbing).
I think the "i'll put it up for adoption instead of abortion" gimmick is just as bad.
I understand where some call abortion murder, but yet I still find them to be completely misinformed. An UNBORN child is just that, unborn. They say life starts at birth. If you have a street hooker coke baby, as horrible as it is to say, the child would be better off dead. A fetus does not feel, it does not think, it does not percieve, it does not have rights IMO b/c it is not a living breathing functioning human being. There are plenty of parents that bear children everyday that want their child. They chose to have a baby, some mothers did not and wish they had taken the route of abortion. But they did'nt, and now they're a single mom working 2 jobs at the gas station and Subway just so they can make rent and buy diapers.
Thats no way to live.

Life is about choice.
Everyone has the right to choose whats best for them and their dependents, born or unborn.

True true, you have really valid points, i gotta admit so, but we go back to the discussion that has been going on forever haha, youd be amazed how many fights have been started about when does life start, if its a the moment of being born, or if its at the moment of conception/fertilization.... this is actually an interesting topic to discuss as long as it doesnt turn into ww3 XD

but if josh is right and a fetus cant feel, think, or anything like that... how can you say that life as begun? if it cant feel/think, why ruin an unwealthy single mothers life with a child she dot want when it can be prevented? life should start when its breathin on its own, eatin on its own, livin on its own... if you wanna backtrack beyond the things that really show life, some would say u can go back to when the sperm cell is created, sound rediculous but think, the sperm cell is a living organism, and is what fertalizes the egg.... (it remind me of when ppl try to blame something on someone else by takin it back farther... for ex. boy leaves crayons out, girl draws on walls.... mom yells at girl, she says its boys fault for leavin them out) haha, it reminded me of that so i had to say it...

in the case of the rape victim...this is very close to home...my mother was raped. and she too honestly believes you should STILL have the child. It is not the childs fault. Also we are not animals...we are human beings we don't need to play god and "control" the species...god has a plan and purpose for people in general. We are doing no good by murdering children before they have a chance to be anything. it is murder plain and simple. i think that the so called "open minded" people are really ignorant if they truley belive that it is right to destroy an inocent human life becouse some slut got knocked up at 16.

PERSONALLY and honestly i never thought about, but i myself am more about the law of the jungle, i think that only the capable and fit should survive (even if it sounds cruel on my behalf, i hear it all the time..) so im VERY supportive of medicine and alternative cures, so basically i dont see the point on stem cell research when im pretty sure a plant up there in the amazonas on the tibet can cure diseases like cancer... but if i had to actually give an opinion to it... id say... wow... you got me thinking here.... im still on the same opinion, life starts at the heartbeat... what im wondering though now that you mention is... why embryos? why cant they not research on i dunno... sick tissue, or alive tissues, you know, extracting samples for people

i agree fully with you... its said there there is a cure for EVERYTHING, we just havnt found em all yet.. and ibelieve there is cuz there are even animals we are still discovering. so im definatly convinced there are other ways to cure, but then again, we dont have our hands on these cures cuz we cant find em... so we are using the resourches we have found...

i started having sex with the girl i dated for 3.5 years at age 15, if she got pregnant then she should have the kid? shes VERY smart and has a great life to look forward to, shes not a slut, and will make it to collage and be something great in life... if she had the kid, she wouldnt.. (not sayin i got her pregnant but just an example). in a way it can relate to the starving ppl in etheopia or where ever, they cant afford food for themself, but they have kids and make there life worse, and ruin a childs life... whats the point in that.... a child can ruin a womens life. if shes a dropout makin money through sex, the child is gunna grow up with a very bad life.. ur right, its not the childs fault, but why would u want that child to live through hell? if you want to take it to gods eyes or however u put it... there are many other animals/mammals that kill there young to benifit/survive themself, weather its for food, or defence... what i mean is, some mammals kill there young/eat them for food, or kill them so there food supply is greater... and some mammals kill there young to defend predators either as bait (to slow them down because they eat the young) or as weapons (believe it or not monkeys have been known to throw young at predators or invaders)... so i believe gods way is not a good point, also because not everyone believes in god.

also im gunna respond to the "we are not animals, we dont need to play god" statement... do u know what separates humans and animals? ur right we are not animals... some say the reason is because we can speak, some say its cuz of tool use, some even say its cuz we have a soul... but what actualy is the answer to what truely separates us, is the ability to think ahead... its the ability to know cause and effect, to know whats gunna happen when we do something... and being able to do that, i do believe we need to "play god" or control the population, because we can look into the future and see how we need to deal with it... we cant just count on god, cuz one day we will run out of certain things (examples cound include food, space), and overpopulation will definately cause a huge problem.

first off, sorry to hear ur mother was raped.. ur mother had the child even though it was created in an unwanted way, and you have to give props to that, she did something AMAZING.. she cared for her child through one of the hardest opsticles, and she is a hero for doin so... but there are some ppl who will just not care for the child because they recieved it in such a way, they will chose not to want it because it was forced apon her. it is an inocent life, but the mother is the one that has to care for it, and put her life to new standards for this child.... its hard for some women to completely change there life at an undecided time with an unplanned child... the women who have the baby in a rape senario are true heros, because they give the child a chance at life... but you cant force everyone to do so, theres just some women that truely cannot handle a child at certain times, and abortion is the route that may be best fit.....

I just can't figure out the liberals.  Killing a baby before it has a chance at life is okay according to a liberal.  Killing a murderer, serial killer, rapist for the crime they chose to commit is not okay according to liberals.  My brother is a liberal.  He asked me once if I had ever thought about killing someone.  I said, "Of course, hasn't everyone."  What you are thinking whil you are angry is different then what you think when you are not.  I told him that knowing you will be tried and given the death sentence is a deterant, and keeps intellegent people from make bad decisions.  He told me he didn't want to have anything to do with me and considers me not to be his brother because I had thoght about killing someone.  Funny, he forced his first wife to get an abortion when she was pregnate.  So, not even out of anger and given ample opportunity to think about it, my brother killed his child.  I call that premetatated murder.  The punishment for such a crime should be more on the doctor than the mother.  Just like hiring a hit man.

Hatchet, haven't you heard of partial birth abortions.  They are currently legal.  The baby is alive and still in the mother when they poke a hole in its skull and suck its brains out.  I can see the use of things like the "Day After Pill" for rape victims, but I can not see a person having an abortion once that baby has started to develop.
