After weeks of research I have finally found out that my 2006 Eclipse GT will take a 16" steel rim fitted with P205/65 R16 winter tires.
With my previous vehicles I have used all the most common manufacturers such as Goodyear, Bridgestone, Michelin and BF Goodrich. All these tires have been tested and rated by Consumer Reports. Most of these tires typically have a Q speed rating.
I am thinking of going with Toyo snow tires which have an H rating. I actually can get these cheaper than the more common Q rated tires. The problem is I have never used Toyo before and Consumer Reports did not rate them.
Has anyone used Toyo winter tires? Are they a good quality tire that will last? Are they as good as Blizzak's, X-Ice, etc?

The dealer quoted me $890 which includes 4 16 inch steel rims, 4 H rated Toyo tires P205/65 R16 installed, balanced and including taxes. The rims are about $90 each so the tires are approximately $116 each. The cheapest Bizzak's I could find were $148 each.
Bizzak's were my first choice. I changed my mind only because the Toyo's are cheaper, they are H rated instead of Q rated and the Mitsubishi dealer has them available. If I thought the Bizzak's were a much better tire even though they are Q rated, I would spend the extra money.
