I have a 91 eclipse with automatic shoulder seatbelts. The drivers side has recently stopped moving. It has done this before, but would jerk & shutter a couple times - then start working again. Its been 3 days now with no movement. I don't know if it is a motor or what...
Any Ideas?
Thanks.

I'd say definately a motor problem if it jerked before and has stopped previously.

You've check the fuse?
The seatbelt motor is behind the panel that sits behind the driver seat. Remove it and you'll be able to see it.

I have checked the fuses & all are good.
Found the motor in the rear side panel. Noticed a ticking noise coming from it. Going to try a take it off after work. Can you get into these things or should I just start calling junk yards to get a replacement?
Thanks.

If it's making a ticking then something is broke in there. You should go to a U-Wrench-It type plce and see if you can find one. It'll probably be easier than trying to get into the unit and then find teh smaller parts inside at a shop or whatnot.
