After finding a leak in my intercooler i took it off the car and did a further test to pin point were the leak was. I found about 10 to 15 leaks up and down were the intercooler weld to the end tanks. With the intercooler only having about 300 miles on it im not very happy. With the intercooler off i did a test from the piping to the tb and found a leak were the intercooler piping meets the tb. Fixed that leak but when i pressurize the system my boost gauge still loses pressure but i can't seem to hear the leak? hopfully these leaks are what was causing my car to idle rough and hesitate while driving. My ? is an intercooler pressure test shoould be 100% leak free right. I know it's a stupid ? but i can't beleive so many leaks on a new intercooler.

Yeah thats kinda ridiculous..... but as far as the pressure check.. don't quote me on this because i've never done one, but usually when you buy one they always talk about a pressure drop of some odd PSI... so i'm not sure if that would mess up your readings or not... or give you a reading of less than 100 % .. I just thought it would be worth a shot

No thats with the boost level.

Where did you get that core?

when i have no leaks my gauge should stay rock solid right.

I would call them and tell them that there is multiple leaks on their intercooler.

there not returning my calls or emails/if they stand by there products they should do whats right, but i don't think thats going to happen i just need to fix it somehow or find a temp solution to see if that is what was causing my problems.

its gotta be where your problems are comming from. So what is actually leaking, the couplings

the intercooler is leaking from were the core is welded to the endtanks. If thats what you mean

yea thats what i was wondering. Wow thats horrible. I would expect that from an ebay intercooler but not from a well know site

Especially since they are suposed to pressure test all their intercoolers.

Well thats on my ****list.

absolutly right, although i really don't want to get on there bad side because my turbo kit and all my other parts are from them so if i need something i don't want them to be dicks about it, but im not trying to be an asshole about it i just want them to do whats right and i hope they understand that.

still the car runs bad, instead of the intercooler im running it nonintercooled until i get a new or fixed one. And the car still runs bad but it will run fine until it's fully warmed up and then it will start to misefire and it will start to run really bad when i start to loose vacuum on the boost gauge. This will all start when the car is fully warmed up. I just dont get it i'v replaced so much and fixed the leaks in the piping and still runs horrible, it will drive alright it's just mainly the idle although i haven't drove it far so mabye it would act up while driving it. It started about three months ago when i got stuck in a storm and drove through some high water, so i dried out my airfilter and mas. The car ran perfect for a couple days after that i got about a mile from the house and my car stalled after i hit some railroad tracks not saying that's what caused my car to stall by knocking something loose etc. I tried the whole night to get it to start and nothing, and the next morning i went to try and it started but i had to give it some gas. And that's when the rough idle started. I know i'v stated this before but i'v replaced plugs, wires, coil packs,maf,o2 sensor, compression check 185/190 psi across board, pcv valve, checked egr valve for proper function. The only code that comes up is random/multiple cyl misefire detected. The only thing i can think of is a vacuum leak somewhere i just can't find one.

any chance that air is getting into the intake AFTER the mass air flow sensor? just a thought
