BCS Restrictor Removal

This is a free mod to do on stock 1g/2g Eclipse GST/GSX that will gain you typically from 1-2psi more boost. The Boost Control Solenoid (BCS) is was controls the stock boost on any 1g/2g dsm. This prevents the car from running strictly off of the wastegate spring. Within the BCS is a small restrictor which restricts mroe air from flowing, thus reducing the boost. This write-up shows how this small peice is removed:
 
Here you can see the location of the BCS with the intake pipe removed circled in green

 
Here is a closeup of the BCS

 
1. Remove the BCS from the vacuum lines
 
In these 2 pictures you can see the fitting in which the restrictor is located again circled in green


 
2. Now once you have the BCS out take a screw that can tighten inside the fitting and screw it slowely into the restrictor slightly then pull on it to remove it from the fitting.

3. Hook the BCS back up and you are done. You have just gained a few more HP for free
