followed the local car meet to some highway races last night, realized that when im going heavy on the brakes they shake and make the car wobble a little bit. would aftermarket brakes help this or is it just the car itself?

just went n tried it again, if i go hard on them at about 80+ the steering wheel shakes like if i had to align the tires, but ones im off the brakes its smooth

Could be warped rotors.

You cant change the size without changing the calipers.

If you are flashy and dont mind spending the cash, get some big ole f-in Brembo brakes. Those are the sex! Or if you dont want to kill the wallet too much, you can get some Wilwood brakes... or even cheaper, Baer brakes are good too.

www.slowboyracing.com i know has the brembo and the baer ones.

if you plan on modding your car with more power.. get the brembo ones.. but if you not boosting it and planning on spending thousands and thousands of dollers on your car go to online and find the best dealer that has the powerslot rotors and and or axiss or hawk pads... what i used to use for my car.. good deal and it will lessen the shake in your car when you brake at high speeds. also check your alignment like as someone has suggested that can cause a wobble in your car also when your braking or speeding up to high speeds 70+ MPH...

actually having second thoughts.... the brembo's are sexy as hell but i only get $8.5 an hour part time....might have to leave the big stuff for after college.  only reason i wanna change the brakes right now is to get rid of that wobble and add a lil sumthin sumthin. i might just go with some stock size rotors and NHT calipers. those are nice and theyll leave me wit some cash for other stuff

btw how does the alignment affect braking? not arguing just dont get it. if you can accelerate without the wobble why would it happen when deccelerating

Well, you can get the brakes from an EVO on ebay. Much cheaper : ) Or you could get them off a 3000GT VR4
