Buying a ’95 Eclipse GST...

I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips or suggestions when i go with my girlfriend to purchase a 1995 Eclipse GST. Just what to look for, problem areas, what questions to ask the seller etc. Thanks in advance.

frankly, id avoid the 95s.

to many problems with crank walk and premature front end wear to recommend to anyone.

 

i just bought a 95 gst and its agreat car, the kid who i bought it from owned it for 2 years and never had any problems with it

 

95-97 have major crank walk issues... but thats the chance you take... check for white or black smoke when your driving.  you could check the shaft play on the turbo. check the oil... and check the coolant for color difference... if it's a brownish color walk away....

I have a 95 and its been a good car for a year now no problems, even with me wiring sh*t and modding it.

I have a 95 GS my biggest problem so far was my radiator cap went bad 13 dollas in repair big whoop this is a awsome car
