You cant be serious lol.... neith motor will work.. Maybe the 4G63 but I doubt it. Why would you want a honda motor anyway go buy a honda if you want the B18. look into the R\A motor swap it is a MIVEC lancer motor that is 160HP stock wich is 30 more than yours I think

awweee try this....just put one of em' emblem "VTECH" or the "SI".....onto your lance trunk....lol

I dont understand wht everyone thinks those motors are so great? I mean they can create some fast Hondas BUT hondas are light cars compaired to mitsus anyway and the VTECH is a waiste... you wait longer than a turbo spool time would take and dont gain barley any power (granted N\A they take well to mods co0mpaired to non VTECH\VVT cars) But I would rather wait till 3500 and hit 21PSI then wait till 5000 for VTECH

As would I, the only advantage I can see to the Honda motor versus a turbo mod is the cost factor. Personally the only Honda I would drive is a lawnmower or ATV/Dirtbike. Maybe I'm just biased.

I dont resepct the Vtech N\A they are slow or quick at best ive seen some RSX S hit 13.9s on a ton of bolt ons which is pretty good but I do resect the Turbod ones because they are fast or can be very easily

what year mirage? the older ones swap the old DSM\EVO motors. The new lancers I dont know of any with 4G63 swap I know of a lot that are turbod but not with the 4g63 motor...I would think instead of building the stock motor the swap would make more sence but it isnt common. The mirage thing is rather common there are a few near where I live.

if am' notmistaken, its 98 mirage. sean spent a lot of time on " how to mount" that 4g63t. its really pain in the butt.

the Newer Mirage would require the VII VIII or IX motor, Im sure it cost alot for someone who cant work on it themselves I mean the late nirage is not a popular 4G63 swap car were as the early\mid 90s were. As well as some geo I forget which one but the 4G63 can be dropped in

why

why

why would you even want to think about cross-brreding your diamond pride with a tainted VTEC slut?

the horror, the agony

the pain

the grief

luckily for yu that b18 ain't gonna fit

Honda designs differ significantly from Mitsu

the 4G63 will fit bolt for bolt once you take it from a chassis that is same as yours

but you're gonna have to do a whole lot of work to accomodate the new found power

suspension, brakes (most important), drivetrain, electrical

brakes are not the most important the engine management is...will need either the stock ECU from a 4G63 powered car or go stand alone or something. Then I would say ya brakes are a very good idea

if you can't stop the car, dont go

but I guess without engine management, you can't go

Engine management is some form is a very important thing.... if the motor is all stock then the stock ECU is fine but add some modds and engine manage becomes even more important. that is why I say that over brakes...brakes will cause you to rear end someone without stopping power engine management not being done properly will cause you to need to buy a new motor cuz you can blow a turbo motor really quick if you dont have a good tune
