I have a CVT transmission, and I want to change the knob to a more appealing custom one, but im not sure if I just twist like on some cars. Does anyone know exactly how to take it off (no i didnt try twisting it just yet, I want to make sure thats how its done befor I go ahead and go through with it.)
thank you in advance

Just twist counter clock wise and and install a new one if you have a manual transmission. There are different kinds but all the same in putting it on the stick.
place the black plastic tip on the stick first. choose the one that will fit and turn it like a nut... clock wise.then put the aftermarket shift knob on the black plastic make sure it doesn't move around if it does put a little black tape around it to make sure it is tight and shift knob doesn't move then put the 3 small screws to tighten the knob, use I think an Allen wrench it comes with knob.
then put the knob cover after you tighten the screws then your done.
CVT is the transmission not the type of transmission like manual or Automatic. cvt eliminates gear whip or neck whip if I call it.
