i have a 97 eclipse and from first to second it grinds but none of the other gears do i just put a new line on for the clutch and bleed the system does ne one have ne idea what is wrong with it?

Well... if your clutch pedal feels a little soft or a little lifeless then you should check your fluids and master slave cyl. If that dont work then you need to think about a ne clutch. If your clutch does not slip then you shouldnt have to replace it.... and you would need to look elseware for the problem

ok i did that don't think ne things was worng with it has fluid and i can see the clutch thing moving under the car it shifts fine just sitting there i can go in all gears with no problem at all but just when i go from first to second when i'm moving?

I would try bleeding it or something.

i was thinking of the pressure plate maybe the fingers or whatever they call them are bent or something what do u think i have done bleed it like 4 times now and still having the same problem cause when i lost my clutch my dumbass forced it in to 2nd so i'm thinking i messed something up in there

In a somewhat related subject my clutch pedal has about 1.5 inches of freeplay before it starts to engage and has to be jammed to the floor before it will fully engage. I have a spare clutch slave cylinder and am wondering if I need any special tools to change the cylinder(this is for a 97 Eclipse RS, 420A engine, already tried adding fluid and bleeding)?

Well you need to replace your pressure plate i think. You might as well get an ACT 2100.
As for frog... thats what it was like when i had air in my system because the fluid level was too low. You need to check your fluid levels and bleed the system. Or if you wanna just check for air then take the cap off your fluid reservoir and pump the clutch and you should see bubbles comeing up
