Anybody notice small dents on their 07 Outlander hoods?  I discovered some small dents that are located on top of the hood several inches forward of the hood brace/brackets.  I called my dealer service manager and he told me they have seen this before.  He went on to say that during the shipping from Japan,  they attach covers over the hood area for protection, and that they use very large tie-wrap style fasteners.  Those tie wraps are what he thinks are causing the small dents.  He told me that he has a very good body guy he trusts who will fix it for me.  So my impression of the dealership is pretty high ,at the moment.

not 1 dent in my, only minimal clear coat scratching from the damn plastic wraping, I guess they just remodev it by sliding it towards the person doing it, instead of lifting to avoid the trapped dirt cought under it to scratch the clear coat.

No dents, no scratches, no hood shake. I must of lucked out. But then again my dads been doing auto body for 21 years and searched car like he was going to find a million dollars hidden somewhere.
