What's up guys, I'm new to the forums.... I just wanted to fill everyone in about what took place a few moments ago here at Yonkers Mitsubishi.

A young girl 18 years old walked in with her father.

Took a look at a silver IX MR

Bought it.

She gets in the car and doesn't know how to drive stick.

She wasn't even attractive

Let me clarify... it bothers me that ANY 18 year old walk into a dealership and have daddy buy them a $30K plus car...especially if they don't even know how to drive it. Daddy should have bought her the R/A Lancer because he's going to be buying a lot of transmissions for her And WTF, who buys a car without test driving it anyways?

What is a girl going to do with an MR that she can't do with a regular Lancer other than wrecking it since she can't drive a manual transmission.....ARRGHH!!!

Maybe he was giving it to her but was really buying it for himself...

"Here sweatheart, since you're having trouble with the stick shift, you drive my automatic Honda and I will drive your car."

If you can't drive it don't buy it! And it pisses me off anytime I see some rich kid driving a car I know damn good an well that mommy or daddy bought for them, even if they can drive it. I don't know there's just something wrong with seeing an 18 year old driving a $30,000+ vehical that you know they can't apreciate fully because they aren't paying for it. And living in So Cal I see it all of the time.

I second that...I'm in Whittier, CA and see it all the time too. I miss CT where all the teenagers drove **** boxes until they got a job and paid for their own stuff. But, my parents made me work for EVERYTHING I have and taught me that nothing in life is free. I hated them at the time, but being 27 now I appreciate it.

I hate seeing rich kids have mommy and daddy pay for their car, then after they wreck it doing something dumb go out and buy them another. I graduated with a kid that owned 3 Civic Si's, none of them with less than $5k in mods. 2 of those were during his senior year of high school.

lol...then they would bother me because I have to wait for them to die. But, if it's their money that they earned, then good for them. No hand me downs get respect from me.
