I was wondering if it would hurt performance if I lowered it beacuse, I like the way it looks, when its a little bit lower than stock. My car is AWD so I don't know if I should, I really don't need to though it handles great.

the only way it would hurt is if you drop too much or if you don't correct your camber settings.
0-1.8" drop camber ok
1.85"< must correct camber or shred tires.

If you want to just do it a little bit like madmat said and you shouldn't have to deal with many problems.

1.3" for an AWD car....pretty generic with most GSX's around

Yea 1.3 is perfect. Go with the eibach pro kit or something similar. Just remember, the stock shocks are gonna wear out a LOT faster with stiffer springs they arent very good at all, and you will have a bumpy ride. If you care about performance more than looks get shocks first. As for safety, any AWD lowered car needs to be CAREFUL when launching. Your shocks arent going to be able to absorb as well since the springs are both stiffer and lower. You don't want to drop the clutch at 5k and hear your transmission slam into the ground.
