well as u can see im realy intrested in the eclipse family. i was just looking for some opinions on the eclipse gt and if u think the v6 is worth the extra or not (3rd gen)

If you wnat a car to build up to be fast. the GT is not the one to get... if you want TQ and a quick car and want to keep it mostly stock get the GT. I have owed one of each GT and GS that is.

yea we know that hahaha. But you cant deny the 4G64 is even better and easier to make faster than the GT is.

lol yeah my budgetis about 7500 to 8000 but my pops wants me to save a grand for insurance so it might be a little lower and i need to sell my dirtbike first too

Ive got a 3g GT, and a 2g TSi... after putting little amounts of work ($1-3K) Id def. have to say that the 2G would still whip the sh*t outta the 3g... theres simply no comparison. Keeping in mind that Mitsu. almost literaly tossed the 3g Eccy into production... its really nothing more than a body mod on a Chrysler Sebring. Whereas the 1 and 2g are serious sports cars.

3g's get no credit man! im ashamed! i somehow will make my 3g faster then the 2g even if its the last thing i do!

you've got a boosted 6cyl or boosted 4g64? either way you are quicker than a lot of 2g's on here! nobody is knockin on them by any means just telling them that it's a lot cheaper to get a 2g and make it faster.

you've got a boosted 6cyl or boosted 4g64? either way you are quicker than a lot of 2g's on here! nobody is knockin on them by any means just telling them that it's a lot cheaper to get a 2g and make it faster.
he has a boost 6G72 with a built motor and a basically 50 trim turbo

lol im mad at my car right now.. damn starter blew up on me... and its a gas guzzler... damn gas here is 275 a gal. thinking bout getting a beater car for while.. i scored with a job at mazda im thinking the cx7 would be nice.. or the new miata's =D

I hear that... for a while I was almost sure I had a gas leak... (01 GT) But it turns out... my car just gets ****ty gas mileage. Oh well... thats the price ya pay, ya know? lol...

Trust me his gas milage is ALOT worse than yours. He is making well over 300HP to the ground

i remember the days when i could do 350 to almost 400 miles to the tank... now i only get what.. if im not hitting boost at all i can get just about 280 now.. but if i ever do hit boost which i do.. because its.. addictive... i get roughly 200 to 230miles per tank.... and it sucks.. because where i live.. you have to drive everywhere just to get somewhere!

country boy huh? yea that's one thing i do like about my lil 420a... 330 miles to a tank :) better enjoy it before i get the EVO

no he is a tampa boy... the roads are just long to get to cool places and least it seems like less because the limits are like 60-70MPH... come up here and it takes for ever to drive half the miles
