91 Mitz Eclipse GS. I have repaired a code for a bad air temp sensor (I think). Engine warning light still comes on after a few minutes of driving. Question is: do I have to reset/clear the memory at the diagnostic connector or just disconnect the battery? If this is done at the connector, can it be done with an OBDI meter? Can it be done manually at the connector. Thanks for your attention.

You should be able to clear the code with the reader at the connector. If you DO clear it and it comes back then obviously the problem isn't fixed. ;)

any time u reset a code and the problem wasnt really fixed, the light will come back on the 2nd time you start the car.

Yep problem definately isn't fixed you need to find out exactly what the code # is and ask here or look up the causes for that code.
