A while back I posted about sending my car in for an oil flush, timing belt change and to try and get the engine light off. The car came back smoking fairly heavy at idle, that went away after about 1/2 a tank of gas except for first thing in the morning the wife said, so it probably needs valve guides, but I personally have not seen it smoke after that first incident. The check engine light came (P1105 'Fuel System') on after we had the car back for a few hours and the diagnosis was that they think the ECM is throwing up a false indicator because they checked the fuel system and everthing checked out, then they checked the ECM and that checked out. Their idea is that keep running it because the cost of a new ECM is not worth changing it to get the light off. Sounds hoky to me. What do you know? The cars runs great.

They over filled it with oil for one.

2) I think you will be ok if you leave the CEL. Alternativly you could look at ebay and junk yards for another.

I'll wait for now since it is running so good before looking for an ECM. Another question, since you seem to know what is going on, the stock cd and AM on the radio works but not th FM, the antenna is attached at both ends, any ideas?

No clue. Im not really an audio person.

Why not try to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for like an hour and reconnecting it... that should clear the CEL. If it comes back on then dont worry... just an idea

The battery was disconnected at the factory for a small time and reset it, but it came back on 2 hours later.

i got the same code when i coded my car, and the tester said that the ECU is reading a more air than stock since i have an cold air on it.

Now we're talking answers. Do I dare ask how much this part is?

i have no idea. Being a sensor that really doesnt have that much of a function, i cant see it being that much. When i replaced a map sensor that was like 125 so for that part id figure on around the same, maybe even cheaper

The sensor I think they quated me was like 225. They replaced it for free though with a used one and the light keeps comming back on for me about 3-4 days after driving, I think Something is wrong, I mean not literaly with the car, but for some reason a false code keeps getting thrown.  I don't konw.  I'm tired of taking it back and dealing with it, so I said forget it am just running it with the light on, it doesn't seem to be hurting anything.  Thats just what is going on with mine.  99 Spyder

I have the same code, if you check for my other post ^^  I'm going to spend a little time on it and see if i can figure anything out, if all else fails i'm just going to leave the CEL aswell.  Its just annoying, because you won't ever be able to tell if some other code decides to pop up.
