no to install it, and it might not work because, of compression, and all of that stuff

the compression of the car could be bad and not start

Toaster power, i'm fairly sure that without a shop and a good welder, you can't swap in a 3000gt motor(also the displacement is 2997cc's or 3.0l).  Go and put your car side by side next to a 3000gt and you'll see the 3si is much wider.  The tranny is different(you are talking about the twin turbo, right?) ad therefore the axles will be different.  None of your current wiring or ecu will work, you'll have to switch to a 3si ecu and custom wiring or do stand-alone, which may be cheaper.  You'll also need a custom exhaust manifold and intake manifold.  So here's a break down:  Cut and re-weld the chasis to widen it.  Replace entire front suspension with 3si.  replace ecu and wiring.  custom fab manifolds and other piping(waterlines and pipes along with rad).  But nate, if he get's a bad motor then yeah compression would be bad.  But to install and everything, no need to worry about compression.

The 3000gt twinturbo have 320hp and the eclipse 94 Turbo have 220hp (say me if its wrong) but i can lost the hp i win with a 3000gt motor with the weight of this 6cylinder motor?

The 4g63 motor is a proven high performance motor and it would be ALOT cheaper to upgrade the stock motor over dropping in a 3000GT motor.  The swap is not worth it at all.

Get an intake, exhuast, boost controller, 16g and you should be able to outrun a 3000gt.  Plus this will be cheaper than an engine swap.

16g?? WhAt iS iT?

a 16g is a mitsubishi manufactured turbo.  It's a decent size turbo and normal variations flow 505 cfm.  It can support up to 375 crank hp, so it's more than enough for most.  99% of all people who want to go fast but also want to drive their cars daily need *only* a turbo this size.  It's an excellent street turbo with good spool characteristics.  Toaster_power, if you're really a newbie to all this stuff, it's best not to go head-first into turbocharging.

Maybe I missed it or something, but I'm too lazy to backtrack in this conversation.  What model Eclipse are we talking about anyways?  Is it a non-turbo or turbo model?  Just curious so I know what is the best route to making it fast.

Its a Eclipse 94 non-turbo 2.0 but i want change for 2.0 turbo

You're going to need a whole front clip from a turbo eclipse.  You know this right?  The engine bay layout for the non-turbo eclipse is total opposite from the turbo model.  You're also going to have to change out the fuel lines and fuel pump because they are different.

and the clutch?

That should come with the new front clip because not even the transmission will the the same...You will need to replace everything

But the SunriseJapanese sold the 1gen Eclipse Turbo 2.0 motor with clutch and transmition $1500

OH!!...My bad...You're talking about a 1st Gen.....I thought u were talking about the wretched 420A motor used in the 2nd Gens.....yea you will need a new motor but most everything else should bolt up pretty well with a 1st Gen...

1st gen eclipse turbo is more fast than 2nd gen eclipse turbo?

The 1st gens all use the 4g63 with non turbo and turbo models of that engine.  The 2nd gens have a 420a motor for the non turbo cars and the turbo models use the 4g63.  The 2nd gens also use the 4g64 in the Spyder GS models.  The 1st gens are lighter than the 2nd gens and the motor differs slightly so it has a bit more potential than the 2nd gens.

Thats good idea a 2.4 or its a lost of money?

the 4g63 is a 2.0 DOHC turbo motor.....the 4g64 is a SOHC non-turbo motor....go with the 4g63

WHOA!!! Go with the 4g63???  4G64 is the hot swap now in the dsm community!  Why not get a car that has the engine in it already???  Almost everything is compatible between the 4g63 and 4g64 engines.  Only things that are different are some shortblock internals(which are ONLY PISTONS and CRANK, YOU CAN USE THE 1G BIG RODS!!!!).  Heads are compatible, which means mani's are compatible, which means the 4G64 can take anything the 4g63 can take.  Get a Spyder GS, and swap the head and do a turbo conversion.  It'll only cost you around $2500 for it all.  Throw in forged pistons and you can get a 4g64 engine that will meet or beat any 4g63 it comes across.  Plus you'll pay less in isurance!!!  Awesome!!!

Sorry if all that seems a little intense or offensive...i get kinda worked up when i hear a 4g63 vs. 4g64 discussion!
