i was looking at building an engine for a 98 or 99 gsx i dont have any parts or the even the car. but dsm parts.com has so nice a nice engine and i nice head that i was looking at getting. i was wondering how difficult it would be to build the engine myself? i have some experence on how to build engines. used to do it on small 2 cyl. enginge helping out my dad. but i was wondering if anybody had done this before and if they ran into any problems. i was looking at replacing just about every thing on the gsx.

why would you want to buil your own engine if you dont even have the car? just go buy a gst or gsx with a blown motor and rebuild it... or just get a running one and fix it up.

sure you can build an engine yourself. It will end up being cheaper for you. The main things you would upgrade to have a fully built engine such as the ones youll see from buschur racing is cams, valve springs and retainers, pistons, crank, rods, ect. If you know what your doing then id say go for it. As long as you got the money to do it as well and time

thats a really nice car but if you know you want to build up an engine why not try and find one that is just a shell. And then build a motor, or find one that has a blown motor. Cuz that car is gonna be a good ammount of money and then youll end up spending more.

hey guy do you think that it would be smarter to buy the gsx with a blown motor then have it rebuild? if so how much would it cost to have the motor rebuilt.
