every dsm has this problem? or just me?

4 times this happened since i bought the car.

everytime i decide to gun it onto a busy highway or just playing around with a guy to the next streetlight, the car shuts off. i dont know if im doing anything wrong, or if thats how it works ... but heres what happened today...

i left work to go onto the nearest highway, i find an opening where i decide to drop the clutch at 2k. as soon as i hit 3rd gear, the car shuts off ...

does this happen to everyone? or is it just me?

I had a problem similar to that. I would check your fuel filter first. I had one that was stopped up slightly. It would allow enough fuel to pass to run, but when I went to get down on it, it would starve the motor, because it wasn't getting enough fuel. Check that. After that, I couldn't tell you...
