Hello all. I currently drive a 2000 3.8 V6 Camaro and I am looking to upgrade a bit. I really love Evo's and I think I might want to buy one. I was just wondering if I would be able to find a good Evo for around 15 grand. Also I need to know how are Evo's in the snow? I live in Pennsylvania and we get a significant amount of snow. Thank you for your time.

Yea im not gunna lie, happy to see another one come to the import side. And you won't find one for 15, if your lucky you find one for 19 with decent miles, but usually you can find a bunch of them for around 20 grand with around 40k miles. And I couldn't help but laugh when u asked if evo's r any good in the snow. Go to google and type in" evo vs bobsled" and watch the 2nd clip from the top. That's a video of an evo VI and now the evo IX is out. So imagine the same thign with more power and better technology

Evolutions are pretty good on snow, rain and dirt.

 it is a Rally Car

I think you can choose 3 traction control if you buy those Evos with those features. . Check Craigslist Auto's sales.

Here's one good example for $16,000 for an 2003 Evo 8 with 67,000 miles only and buy it directly to the Owner, no Dealer hassles.

My friend bought one and it was in Good Condition

One thing more last year there were tons of Evo for sale on Boston Craigslist
My friend and I had fun looking them ALL

There was a European kid was selling his Evo MR 8 for $25,000 with $8,000 worth of upgrades. That was Jackpot but not for my friend.

I think he was a rich kid from London. My friend was disappointed because his budget was $18,000 and the kid didn't want to sell it to him with a lesser price. I won't....

I think more 20 and 40 something men or women are buying Mitsubishi after the release of the 2008 Lancer. One girl from my neighbor even purposely stop her car and told me she will date me if she can drive my car for a week.

Well, I didn't my girlfriend was with me and I even got a slap. :-(

yea i've never seen one for sale that low, but it's prolly cuz i'm tryin' to get one with the lowest mileage possible for my price range. But i guess it's good to know. And i think that in the past year a whole lot of evo's have been bought because i use to go to this dealership in watertown, mass and they had over 15 of them last year and now they have one which is still for sale. Do u guys really think it's that bad to buy from a dealer? Cuz most of the cars I like are dealer owned. I'd rather buy privately but wut can ya do.
Anyone know any good places in the mass area to look?

Well remember you chances of actually getting one are MUCH greater going threw a dealer since they can get you a loan.  If getting a loan for $20k+ your gonna have a very hard time going to a bank privatly unless you got awsome credit.   I bought from a dealer,  I also talked them down like $4k or something then I got financeing from them threw a credit union which got me a rate of 4.9% which is pretty damn good.  Remember unless using a credit union youll have a higher rate prob close to 9% or so.  So the dealer can do things for you that you prob ont be able to on a private sale.

that's tru and ya it would deff end up being more than 20 grand. And look what my buddy found for me down in orlando, i got so mad http://orlando.craigslist.org/car/472926400.html
they want 25 grand for an 06 evo IX with 8500 miles on it, crazy.
and ya i'd have to go around and see if and what my rate would be for one thru the dealer.
