I really dont think this will be the EVO 10. It has ALOT of similar lines curves and shapes as the new civic sedan, The new Charger R\T, and the Acura TL.
Beside that take a look at the last 8 EVOs overall they havent changed to much only minor things like shape of the headlights\tail lights but they all have a very similar bosy shape with the wide fenders, this concept is so far from all the proir EVOs I jsut dont see it. only time will tell, I guess

Rumor has it the Evo X will share it's platform with the Dodge Caliber. That just sucks!!!

I think the Caliber is too narrow a car to share the same platform, is it not? It's just a very small car overall. It seems strange that Mitsu would build a new platform specifically for the EVO X though especially since they seem to be just staying afloat financially.

And it's supposed to larger than the current EVO/Lancers? That seems like trying to put a F350 on a Ranger platform. In any case, 300HP and lighter than the current EVO is always a good thing

there is also a evo 9.5 that will be comming in the fall from what i hear

Yes, it seems there is going to be an Evo 9.5 but it's nothing spectacular from what I've read. It's going to have some special body enhancements and nothing more. It seems the Evo 10 will be released around the end of 2007 and is said to have 300hp - 320hp stock, a clutchless 6 speed transmission with paddle shifters on the wheel, and some great enhancements to the all wheel drive system. It's also going weigh in quite a bit less than current Evo IX's.

They say the price for the standard Evo 10 will be around $38,500.

MEAN!
couldn't have said it better myself.
Chuck Norris gives it a roundhouse kick (equal to two thumbs up form every critic who ever lived)! Time Magazine says: "A great ride that'll have the ladies begging for 15 more mins to do a little more then just ride shotgun!"

This is not good. My dream car is the Evo 8, but id gladly take the Evo 9 or 7 in it's place. Really, the 9 looks barely diferent than the 8. WHy oh why are they changing it so much?? By the time I can afford an Evolution it wont even look like the car I originally drooled over. Oh well. Maybe by that time they'll go "retro" and revive the 8 style. I'll quit complaining now.

....im just kidding. Where do you live that you can get a 7? they only have the 8 & 9 in the US.

I dont know how this guy got one, but about the time the normal lancer came to the US i saw a yellow 7 in my city, and i saw it every now and then until i moved (this was in the woodlands Texas, north of houston). I never really thought about it, but now I wonder how he had it...i know it was a 7 cuz it had the big lettering on the back with the VII (duh)...another wierd thing i saw in that city was the cadillac sixteen, that V16 monster they were gonna build then scrapped, someone had one, who knows how they got that. it was just driving around like any other normal ride.

doesnt mean its a real VII at one time you couldnt buy the JDM VIII trunk badge only VII. and alot of EVO owners do a VII conversion to the body of the VII
The VII has a diff front, rear, sideskirts, hood, headlights, tails, rims ect ect ect and of course if its not RHD then its fake

all in all im pissed by the new designs of the EVO....i agree with what was said earlier about how it looks like "American Muscle" and god knows that i personally hate muscle cars...i hope mitsubishi thinks about this one....

I think it's a little late for the Evo 10 to change it's bodystyle. What I see happening is different car companies are starting to build cars on global platforms (share the same car parts). This means all of the vehicles will have the same basic design and therefore look similar to each other.
