Hey guys, I am thinking about getting on 08 Lancer GTS but I want to get some rims on it. I've seen a couple of nice 18's that will look nice but I think some 19's will just fill up the wheel wall space right up. Does any one else in here have aftermarket rims?

Please dont do it. The GTS is heavy already with brembo brakes and body kit w/ spoiler
My ES feels so heavy when accelerating but I found technic to drive it.

pls see my post....

The rim size is not what fills the gap. It will simply just have lower profile tires and handle like balls.

Lowering the car will reduce the wheel gap. Not rim size.

i have 19s and its actually 19x8.5, love the look from behind. fits the well perfectly, i think if u get 18 and slam it, you actually have more caps then 19s slam. not thatll ill ever slam it.

The rim size does not effect wheel gap

Yes it makes a difference the bigger the rims the heavier the car will be. even if low profile

In racing or drifting  they used bigger rims because The Car is Empty inside no seats no flooring etc etc but regular lancer forget it

Im not arguing that... drift rims are not heavy. They might be big but they are made from magnesium and other things. Super light. That does not apply here.

Rim size does not make a difference in wheel gap, you simply get lower profile tires with the same overall diamiter.

Becuase it would A) Look f-ing stupid. B) Tires are more expensive, and you will have less to choose from. C) The car won't handle as good.

I don't agree with your first statement, I’ve always felt as if the tires on the lancer were too thin, and more width just would give it a mean and heavy look, as for your second statement, I could live with that...

Each to their own.
