not a half bad idea silver ... im doing it!


around here, we're being made fun of for putting it near the headlight.

thats a nice mount silver....like the custom touch

but thank g*d we dont need them on the front in arizona

In wisconsin they require it to be on the front also. I dont have my plate on the front though and i've met so many cops on the road, State troopers, county/city and never once have they stopped me.  I was even in Wisconsin dells this last weekend for a huge show, cops everywhere and i never got stopped.....I guess it depends on the cop but ive had good luck so far (knocks on wood)

Thanks bud, but I got the idea from my EVO buddies, loll.  I guess folks are afraid of thinking outside the box, lol, or they've never seen EVOs or SRT-4's with their LPs on the side, under the headlights.
The direct front is just too plain for me.

You can also try adhesive. I agree I hate the license plate in the front
because the Eclipse's have so much visual potential towards the Front-end.
I wouldn't suggest any type of glues unless you can make it work or just incase
you want to remove it later on you would have to use Goof Off or something.
But try adhesive that might do something.

then it will fall of after time with the adhesive...had a buddy lose his license plate driving down the freeway...not a good idea IMO

Yeah. I kind of figured that. Don't some of the Eclipse's come with pre-drilled holes
though? My Eclipse did.

Depends on where theyre sold. Off the truck to the dealer there usually isnt any holes.

I wish my Eclipse came like that also. But where I am it's mandatory
for front plates. I hate it!

Me too.  In Louisiana (Shreveport, where I bought my car originally), you don't need the front plate.  When I lived in Missouri I updated my DMV info through LA. just to keep from putting a front plate on (MO, requires a front plate too.)
