I like it as long as it sounds and looks good thats all that matters...you plan on doing anything else to your car?

looks good man...i see you went with a similar approach as i did (cheap intake and spectre air filter and breathers) cost like 50-60$ over all?

First post....i think he said about 90 bucks. Couldn't you have found a used one for that much?...injen or something?..

a pipe is not a pipe. bends, diameter, surface, filter all things that make a difference. Not to mention looks lol. but its all good

as far as an intake on a non turbo car? i beg to differ...a short ram for 90 bucks will do the same as the 200 dollar Injen one...and i think it looks good

no it will not all those things matter more on an NA car than n a turbo car. Intakes on a turbo car are just about worthless untill you have big HP. Not to mention you absolutly could have paid $90 for an Injen. I got my Injen cold air for my 3g for $90 just needed a filter and it looked a hell of a lot better, but when you got a car that is a econo car I guess it doesnt really matter to much. I just went the cheap intake route before on my 1st 3G and it was a living nghtmare and caused my intake manifold to crack at the throttle body flange and it cracked 4 different manifolds untill I relized what was causeing it

sorry i didnt specify...an econocar.....an econo car at 16? well no ****. its all up to opinion and i like it. as does pretty much every one else who has seen it. i dont see how an intake can crack an intake manifold though.

It absolutly did though. 4 times. if its not well made. and hangs weights down on the trottlebody it can crack it and the thin manifolds in the 3g rs gs crack easily

so you saying the intake works better on a n/a car??

I think what he was trying to say is that the way an intake on a N/A matters more becuase it goes intake, throttle body, manifold, engine. Where on a turbo car it goes Intake, turbo, intercooler, throttle body, manifold, engine. So as you could imagine what the intake on a turbo is made out of doesn't really make a difference at the end.

oh and I was in no way trying to down talk you man. I like your car and I am glad for you. I had a GS eclipse at your age so I also had a car I wanted to be faster but was nothing more than 100WHP pile of metal for me as it fell apart a million times lol.

that might be since you cheaped out so much haha, you should hear a difference with even a half assed intake.. not in the exhaust but you will hear it up in the engine bay, sounds badass

there is no way there is no difference. as soon as you remove the air box the car at 4k rpms and above will be 10x loader
