some one told me that a 7 bolt gst motor is a bad motor can enyone tell me why, i own a gs eclips and i am going to swap in a gst motor so i am just woundering what the differance is between the two "i plan on re-building it with forged internals pistons, rods cams ect".

well...it CAN be done. RRE.com and check it out. They have a conversion kit for the 6-bolts into 2gen cars.

Yes you CAN put a 6 bolt into a 2gen NA GS. The 420A and the 2gen 4G63 run the same motor mount assembly. I know they sit TOTALLY different, but its true. I lost a bet on that one too BTW...lol. The harness and ECU will need to be changed, but its possible. Not easy or cheap, but possible with fabrication to the chassis.

well that was kinda the point i was getting at. Its so expensive and a pain to do that it might as well be impossible. For the money youll spend to do it you could just buy a turbo model. I know that a couple of people have done it, but its not worth doing by any means
