ok i have recently noticed a that i am leaking antifreeze. now im almost positive its from my water pump. itll overheat when im just sitting there but if i drive down the road it wont over heat. i have a 96 gs, and i want to know how hard it would be to changed the water pump and timing belt myself. i have done plenty of water pumps in the past but not timing belts. how hard would these be to do or should i just bring it to a shop. if i bring it to a shop how much would it cost if someone would know. thanks guys i need to get this fixed quick.

the belts on these are a pain in the ass, im not trying to scare you away from diy, but if you have never done it on an eclipse, id take it to a shop, and your looking between 600 and 1k depending on parts, labor, etc......

yea, thats one hell of a good deal, just make sure they do it right and they dont find anything else "wrong" with the car............. and get the work order before they start, with the price and all on it.........
