Hi,
My wife has a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander 2wd and I am having the hardest time finding the repair manual for it. Has anyone had any luck finding a normal repair manual (not the extreme customizing one) for this vehicle?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Wickedss

Thanks, but that is the extreme suv customizing manual that I didn't want.
It is? It didn't say that..oh well. The search continues.........................

Tell ya what, the immediate ? is: Are there any special tricks to changing the spark plugs?
Haven't even really looked but would like to know before hand what I'm in for.
I did change my plugs on my '03 when I had it and it was pretty easy. It wasn't cake getting to them...but I've seen worse with Mitsu.

Okay. I don't own front wheel drives, but my wife does. She had a buick once that you had to remove two upper motormount bolts, use a prybar to rock the engine towards the front and there was a place to put one of those bolts to keep the motor forward. It was quite a pain in the a** cuz the plugs were still a b*tch to get to. hehehe

replacing the plugs takes several hours.
but you dont need to worry about it for at LEAST 60,000 miles, and more likely 100,000 miles.

Is this so you can put in better plugs now or incase you get stuck one day in a bad part of town and have to get to the plugs?

Actually the wife & I are escaping the curtain climbers heading to Laughlin at the end of the month. I just want to pull the plugs, clean them, re-gap or replace if necessary.

the plugs will never need cleaning nor regapping.
EDIT..... OOPS! I didnt see you had a 2003... thats a whole different story.
those plugs DO need to be replaced every 15,000 miles. they're easy as pie to replace.
I recommend ONLY using NGKs, and skip the "cleaning and regapping" part, as its a total waste of time.
