Oh wow... that would be difficult. Turbo 800ish, custom exhaust manifold 300+, custom exhaust, 300+ again, injectors 400, tuning device (i have no idea what would work) either way your looking at at least 300, boost gauge 50, a/f ratio 150, FMIC, 800+, BOV 180+, clutch (no clue)... all that and maybe then some...
Nobody has done it so nobody can really say.... i wouldnt want to try it though

decent guesses. But My suggestion is to wait for the Evo 10. Because they share the same motor. It would be more with it to swap it in when they are out IMO

trubo'ing an 08 right now would be WAYY expensive b/c everything would have to be custom made, unles the guy knows how to weld pretty well. OHHH and speaking of the evo x. i picked up the new Modified last night and there is a good write up on it... it's going to be a Twin Clutch setup. 1st 3rd and 5th will run off of one clutch and 2nd 4th and 6th will run off another. this will be used for lightning quick shifts from the automatic manual and also grip harder. it will have 3 modes Normal, Sport Mode, and S-Sport Mode. you can prettty much figure out what they all are. and as most of yall know this evo will FINALLY come with the S-AWC!!!

It wouldnt be that much. At the ery least they could borrow the Turbo off of a Evo 10 who is upgrading. and still run small boost and make some power.

The Evo 10 is supposed to have 2 version trannys. The auto manual with the paddle shifts and a 6 spd regualar manual

dude dont belive everything people tell you... Mitsu workers are a bunch of bitches they have a fit when Evos have exhaust and intakes. So why the hell would they do a turbo kit for the lancer out of the gate considering a turbo motor is best on a lower compression ratio and all NA cars have High compression ratios. So I bet your buddy was lieing to try to sound good. The dealer was probly talking about the new RA lancer which is supposed to be turbo from the factory and then the Evo obviously we know. So they are doing the with lancers the same as the 1G eclipses were.
3 platforms. all share a 4b11 block
1 is NA
1 is turbo FWD
1 is turbo AWD and all the goodies
^^remind you of something
1g GS 4g63 na
1G GSt 4g63 FWD turbo
1G GSX 4g63 AWD Turbo

EMonz is right that they are doing the same as the 1g eclipses and in the same a 1g GS eclipse is not where you want to start if you want to go fast i previously had an 05 lancer ES i had started to upgrade things but it turned into a money pit b/c you have to do everything thats why i went to an 06 RA better tranny engine suspension i just dont know how much i like the new body style or else i would of got one but just personal opinion now the new 08s come a little more sporty and now they all share the same block but not the same internals thats why like EMonz said the Evo is lower compresion for the turbo and the n/a is is higher so if you plan on putting a turbo into the n/a lancer than if you want to run at peak you would need to swap some internals to get a turbo setup
