LEDs are MUCH tougher. Not only that but the LED AND the neon lighting BOTH have the same amount of wires except the neon's will likely have a few more parts depending on brand the neon will require a transformer which will need mounted inside the engine compartment as well as a switch whereas the LEDs have one control box that has the power and the rest of the lighting controls on it. I think it's easier that way.

LOL yeah but you need to get high quality ones cuz if not the lower quality ons have "hotspots" basically eaning that the light from the individual LED bulbs can be seen each one making a spot and overlap not being great enough to make the light blend in to one another and give you a uniform brightness throughout the area of the bulb.

well the liteglow ones look really nice for the money and they have lasted more then 2 years they are mad bright and the glow is distributed evenly if you ask me......

Liteglow andStreetGlo Optix series are the best ones I think.

so if you had the extra money would you opt for StreetGlow or is the liteglow one just as good just for less money

Depends really on your preference. But from personal experience I like the look of the Optix (by streetglow) better than the lightglow. You have to see the different ones yourself. Look for hotspots in the different brands. Ideally you should have even color throughout the area the bulb covers. The more actual LEDs there are in he bulb the better it tends to look.

I havent seen LiteGlow but the streetglow looks pritty good. but that is just a pic and pics can be deciving
but for the price if liteglow is pritty close to streetglow then i might be worth looking into because i am a little broke

i just put white liteglow LEDS on my 99 spyder they look sick. Liteglow is brighter then streetglow thats the only real difference i notcied i had Streetglow ones before on my accord and they all broke within like a year and a half thats why i didnt buy them again.

I dunno I have liteglow LEDs on mine and they have ALOT of hotspots. I installed streetglow Optix series on a car and it had a nice even lighting that I liked a bit better. I guess it's just a matter of preference anyways.

sounds like the manufacture put a bigger led here and there becuse leds will only go so bright depending on size"Voltage" before they will just blow up. i would think it would come from bad or cheep construction of the light themself.

I figure just poor planning on the part of the manufacturer. The Streetglow Optix seem to have a nice even coverage though. I think I'm going with the Tireflys Colormorphics next.

so to be safe the streetglow is better, but the liteglow could be good as long as it is put together well. sounds kinda sketch but what ever extra hundred smackers it is.

i wouldn't get streetglow ever again personally, because they werent that bright and they all broke one by one, and it wasnt because of poor instalation, i have liteglow LED's like i said before and they have an even glow and seemed much stronger then the streetglow. I could have just gotten a bad batch of the neons but i spent the extra money thinking i was getting a qaulity product and i definatly didnt....lol

Well I stick by the streetglow Optix series myself though I'm going to be looking into the Tireflys Colormorphics sets. Like I said I was impressed by the streetglow Optix LEDs and quite frnakly if you got a bad set then you should have taken them back. And neons don't quite compare to LEDs anyways.

i guess it doesnt matter how much you pay as long as it looks good and i have seen streetglow optix and it does look good so that is what i most likly will get. now do they make one that just has one color or do you have to get the one that you can change the color to.
Sanguinius

Yes they make solo colors as well. (Seems all I can find around here are teh solo colors instead of the changing color ones LOL)

all right i have a few more questions before i go and get it.

1. i will get it professionally installed do they have to drill into my car inorder to attach the bulbs?
2. how easy is it to uninstall if i decide to get rid of the car
3. what kind of places would install it for me.

thanks yall have been so much help i only need this last post before i get it done and post pics on how it looks

i have a 99 eclipse and i didnt have to drill into the bottom of the car, i had to on my previous honda im not sure about 3rd gen, I ty-wrapped- the front an bakc ones on. And the sides I put where the reinforced part of the chassis is to jack the car up, theres like a little lip that goes the length of the car, so i hid mine behind that and drilled into that....some else would have an exact answer with a 3rd gen...

Any auto audio shop should be able to install it for you. As for drilling into the car it's all a matter of where you have to hide the bulbs. they will likely be doing some drilling but not a whole lot and any holes they drill they'll make waterproof. As for removing them... It's actually as easy as installing them so you SHOULD be able to take them off w no problem should you wish to sell the car. I think that should suffice to answer your questions. Good luck

I am just now looking into getting projectors too and I don't know if this is what you're looking for or if it will help, but here's two links I was given that I'm copy and pasting. I haven't checked them out yet myself though, LOL

I don't think anyone makes the dual projector for an Eclipse. I've not seen them yet but you could prolly get them specially made.

I would suggest you to buy the halo proyectoes with angel eyes, but y strongly recomend that you buy them in black, the clear ones reflect the light and you are unable to see the ring and they should be.
