I need help finding, purchasing, and understanding things about the Evo. I want to find the generations that my thread title has in it. I want to be able to drag, maybe drift if possible, autocross, and street race. Plus I want to stand out a little from my dsm eclipse obsessed friends(and I'm from a area where people seem to swear by VW and Civics)

The only US Evos that were shipped here started in 03.  Which was the VIII and of course now the IX and the X is in the near future.

Would it be hard to find a unmodded VIII?

I bought mine unmodded and used.   Some people dont mod them at all.   I on the other hand have dropped about $10k in motor work since buying it and Ill tell you dont be scared of ones with mods.  Just besure it is maintained well.  The maintence history of the car can be far more fatal than a few bolt ons.  these cars are maintenace Whores they require alot of TLC to keep them strong.

To be honest I am not afraid of modded evos, it is just that I want to alot of the work myself. So I know the car inside and out. Plus I developing the belief that if you do the work yourself you are more likely to take care of it better(personal opinion).

hey check this one out, i've seen it on craigslist in the massachusetts area near me, and yea it has a rebuilt title. Because they took it all apart and put it back together once transported into the US.  And so far, the only VII i've ever seen for sale in the US, and i guess it's not a bad price considering how rare it is and the mileage isn't horrible

Thank you for showing me this, but there is a reason I named myself noobtoevo.
And that is I am a retard. I didn't even realize that I-VII were non N/A, and I posted this
when I knew I have no money at all even if someone found even a evo VIII for sale.

Thank you though.

Florida is the best place to Buy a Used car. No Snow and No Floods especially if you buy  your near Daytona and Jacksonville.

Funny I went to a dealer over there and they even sell performance parts for Mitsu. Imagine a Mitsubishi dealer selling Performance parts. You can't find those mods on New England car dealers.

I was really thinking about doing that. Cuz my buddy lives in orlando, so i was gunna fly down there, and drive a car home if i saw something i liked online. But if you think about it, wut kinad performance parts they sell? Just the basics, or like 50 trim kits and cams that'll void ur warranty?

All aftermarket mods will void your warrenty.  It just depends on the dealer.  its no secret 98% of mitsu dealers will frown on performance mods.  There are a few that dont.  and they are known on EvoM for the most part.  and the majority of them reside in the great lakes area because of buschur racing.   buschur has a deal with some that they build cars with a few bolt ons and tunes.  keeping  the warrenty and emmisions in mind and they sell at the dealers with full warrenties.  These cars are called BR300 and BR330 If im not mistaken and they are rare lol.  cams and a 50trim kit will in no way EVER be warrentied by any dealership
