ok, the car has been stumbling for a while, and just the other day, i let it warm up in the morning and it stalled out, and hasn't started since.

it will crank over all day long, but there is no spark, and no fuel that i can smell (i.e. flooding or non-combustion) i have replaced teh fuel filter, coil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ASD (auto shutdwn relay) and tried a diff ECU and still nothing. i am at wits end as to what is wrong with this car. please, any advice would be most appreciated, thank you

what about the fuel pump?

As far as i know the fuel pump is still fine, no whine or any telltale signs that it is a fuel issue

Sounds like the computer,bummer is you may have waited to long if the engine was studdering for a while thats the first sign the capasitors are leaking on the board. The second sign is the acid in the capasitors have shorted the main board out and its toste. The third thing is the $400 you will pay for the rebuilt unit because your old one is beyond repair and you have no core. Sorry to screw up your Holliday with thaat news. Still send the old one as a core maybe they can fix it.

well, got it fixed :) brought it to a mechanic (thank god for AAA :-p) turns out it was the distributor, the hall effect trigger for the coil had died. at least im back up and running, thanks for all your help people :-D

Ok now I have a better idea what the hell a hall is. How much did it cost I know the garage slamed you but break it down for us and maybe some more on how the car was running would help someone figure out a problem. Loke was it a studdering as you accelerated or loss of power or what. Thanks we need to develope a data base on trouble shooting tips this would help.

ok, it started out as a stuttering/stalling occasionally, it would stall at ilde at a light or something but it seemed like it was misfiring, or running on less cylinders. it got progressively worse with odd occasions where it would run fine for a bit, until it stalled one last time. after that, it wouldn't start at all (i.e. no spark). the shop luckly put in a used distributor ($80 us) and wacked me 1 hours labor for $65. i would have never guessed it was the distributor so hopefully this ends up helping someone.
