There is random fluid leaking from my 1998 eclipse rs witha 420a engine in it and i have no clue what it is I suspect brake fluid but i cant be sure i have a pic of the line where it is coming from its the hose im pointing at if anyone is familiar with the 420a egnine layout this would be very helpful if you could identify the liquid.

Well, the pics arent showing up here very well... but what makes you think thats brake fluid??

Not sure The liquid is kind of yellow ish and thick, mabey oil?
I checked oil level and its 1/2 way between min and max so im not sure if its oil thats leaking, if it is oil its not leaking a ton

No its not oil. Dont worry. If you can get a better picture from more of a birds eye view it would be helpful.

I got better pix ill post em in a sec the fluid seems to leak when im revving my engine in the rpm range of 5-7 and mabey a litle at 4. Color is a yellowish brownish (note i just got full synthetic oil placed in my car last week, I am pretty sure its just a loose hose and i can fix it myself but i need to know what the fluid is.

OK I definatley foudn out its powersteering fluid thats leaking and i got it setup to get fixed later but i need to know will power steering fluid **** up my paint? Ive heard stories that it might screw up paint jobs if it gets on cars

It very well could **** up your paint... good call on the pwr steering fluid though, I ws thinking thats what it was...

I'm not trying to be a dick, but sence your leak was under the power steering resevoir, why did you not suspect that first?
Don't panic, its probally just a line being where its at.
The resevoir is metal and wont leak unless punctured.
