I take it that this car is on a lot and you don't want to be bothered by a salesman? well.. peek into the car and check out the dash cluster. if it is turbo, you will see a "sorta" turbo gauge under the fuel gauge. it has a + on top and - on bottom to show you that your turbo is spooling.
there might be a different set of rims too.. or just break down and ask them to pop the hood

Wasn't the muffler different too? I think on the 2g's only turbo's, spyder gs, and oz editions had the dual exit mufflers, so maybe it's the same on a 1g's. The wheels were tricky, 1994 eclipse gs and gst's had the same wheels, which were actually carried up until 96. But a lot of the 93 gs's had hubcaps, alloy wheels were only an option.

Well, the obvious is sometimes the most overlooked. However, in his defense, i know on both DSM's i've owned, i've removed the badges for a cleaner look in back. There are a lot of ricers who take off the badges and replace it stuff like GTR, SER, SI, whatever....I especially like the Eclipse Type R's
